It has been a while since I have written an update on Hadley, mainly because things change so often that I feel like I would have to write an update twice a day saying “Pray for this” then “Never mind, pray for that.” Overall, Hadley is doing well. When I was down there last weekend, I got the chance to play with her for about half an hour while Todd and Ginny Beth stepped out to take care of some things and she smiled and talked to me the entire time. While every moment is not a happy moment of course (I mean really, who likes getting stuck with needles?) it was so great to see her smiling and happy after having surgery on her heart!
Having said that, here are some things you can be praying for so that Hadley will come home completely healthy, very soon!
- That she will eat her formula at a healthy rate to help her grow healthy and strong
- That her eating and digestion is free of any and all complications and that she will go home without any attachments or extra medications
- That her blood oxygen levels remain consistently high throughout the day and night
- That there will be no excess fluid anywhere inside her chest or lungs
- That God will completely heal her heart so that no more surgeries are necessary :)
Jesus, you healed every kind of sickness and disease while you were on earth (Matthew 4:34, Matthew 9:35). Thank you for the promise that through faith and belief in you, we will see these works and even greater things done in your name (John 14:12). Thank you that it is by your wounds that Hadley is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We call forth the good and prosperous plans you have for Hadley’s life, plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Thank you that your Spirit gives life to her mortal body (Romans 8:11) and you sustain all things, including Hadley’s health, by your powerful word (Hebrews 11:3). Thank you that you came that Hadley would have abundant life to the fullest (John 10:10), and you came to destroy the devil’s works against her (1 John 3:8). We declare that no weapon formed against Hadley will prevail (Isaiah 54:17) and call forth your healing power from heaven to earth in the name of Jesus..
